Pre-surgery xray showing fracture & dislocation of end of tibia

This young greyhound’s owner was certain his racing days were over before they even began when he was brought to us.  He suddenly became lame after playing rough with some other young dogs.  He was brought to our clinic with leg facing the wrong way and purple.   An xray showed a displaced growth plate at the end of his tibia so he was immediately taken to surgery where he had two pins placed through the fracture to repair it.  We are pleased to report he eventually made it to the track and is even winning races in the top grade!
